Professional background

Simon is the manager of the VT Tyndall Unconstrained UK Income Fund*. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 1997 before joining M&G Investments on the UK equity desk. He spent nearly 10 years at M&G, running the M&G UK Growth Fund from 2004 to 2007. In 2008 Simon moved to Merian Global Investors (formerly Old Mutual Global Investors) where he spent nearly 11 years heading up the UK Large Cap equities team and managing the Merian UK Equity fund.

*The VT Tyndall Real Income Fund was renamed the VT Tyndall Unconstrained UK Income Fund with effect from 15 December 2023.

Educational background

Simon holds an MSc in Economics & Finance and a first class BSc in Economics. He is also a chartered accountant.
